NAVARĀTRI RETREAT - FINDING AVIJÑĀTA

Welcome to our Navarātri Special Retreat: an experiential journey into the love of the Divine Mother, who cares for Her children as a teacher and guide.

Together with Swami Kurunandha and Vandana, participants will enter into the story of Purañjana from the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam — an important and auspicious story for every devotee to know.

King Purañjana, a symbolic king, is looking to live in a beautiful city in his attempt to find happiness in the material world. Even though he finds his ideal companion, Purañjanī, their time and enjoyment together are limited, as the city will one day be overcome by the forces of time.

This story is an allegory of how the soul enters the body and forgets that true happiness is only with God, the source of all goodness and love. Eventually, Purañjana finds again his dear old friend, the Lord within the heart — called Avijñāta — and so the long journey of trial and error comes to a peaceful end.

In this retreat, participants will be brought on an interactive journey through the attachments and inner obstacles that stand between us — the soul — and Avijñāta, the Supersoul.
By intertwining this great story with themes from the Devī Māhātmyam, this retreat becomes a powerful opportunity for those who want to “find Avijñāta” — the long-forgotten eternal dear friend: the Supreme Lord Himself.

"O Arjuna, on this path, the resolute mind is one-pointed; but the thoughts of the irresolute are many-branched and endless."
