Paramahamsa Vishwananda

“If you silence yourself completely, if you silence your mind, you will receive everything. You will not even need to ask. You will receive, because God is merciful.”  – Paramahamsa Vishwananda

Course Description

The Silent Retreat guided by Paramahamsa Vishwananda is designed to awaken the inner Divinity within oneself. By following the program given by a fully realised spiritual master one can experience a permanent change in their life.

The Silent Retreat is structured in a very specific way designed to awaken the inner voice within ourselves. The general structure of the retreat consists of morning Surya Namaskar (participants will be initiated into a private Surya Namaskar technique passed down by Mahavatar Babaji), guided Japa Walks through the scenic forests and fields surrounding Shree Peetha Nilaya, self-analysis, meditation and specifically assigned mantra chanting.

The silence graced to the participants during the retreat allows one to drop deep into ones heart and feel the presence of the Divine at all times.

The Silent Retreat is meant to be taken very seriously so that participants can gain the maximum benefit. It requires tremendous emotional and spiritual effort. It is not meant to be treated as a holiday but a period of self-reflection and silent sadhana (spiritual practice). Participants will remain isolated for long periods of time during the retreat.

Start on Saturday, 28th at after dinner at 20:30 hrs with an introduction with Swami Anashuya.

“In ancient times, Yogis would receive Divine Inspiration through the connection to God in Nature. Shree Peetha Nilaya is such a place.” – Paramahamsa Vishwananda

Shree Peetha Nilaya, the main Ashram of Bhakti Marga, means “the Home of the Divine Mother,” and it’s a name that She herself gives. The Centre is located in the beautiful German countryside of the Taunus region, and is blessed with great natural beauty.

Due to the structure of the Retreat, it is very important the participants are in a silent environment. To facilitate this environment, Shree Peetha Nilaya has allocated a specific area of the Centre for participants in the Retreat. Therefore all participants are required to stay in Shree Peetha Nilaya and the cost of the Retreat includes both accommodation and food.

** Please keep in mind once you have registered for the event you will automatically be allocated accommodation and food. There is no need to book accommodation separately. If you do have any special requirements for accommodation please email: welcome [at]

What one experiences during the Silent Retreat is the inner stillness. Swamiji allows us to inwardly dive with Him into a state of unity, peace, beauty and love. Whenever I remember that moment, being in the presence of Swami, I can instantly connect to that inner state of “just being.” – Tusti, Germany
